IMacros for Firefox and Chrome offers a feature known as social scripting, which allows users to share macros and scripts in a manner similar to social bookmarking.
In addition to working with pages, the commercial editions can automate,,, and applets by using Directscreen and technology. The version of iMacros contains no and with a few minor exceptions, complex or conditional code requires scripting available only in the commercial version. Advanced versions also contain a and an (API) to automate more complicated tasks and integrate with other programs or scripts. The iMacros API is called the Scripting Interface. The Scripting Interface of the iMacros Scripting Edition is designed as a (COM) object and allows the user to remotely control (script) the iMacros Browser, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome from any Windows. License Installation Download from Downloading Files If you have iMacro File Access installed you can use the command to automate the download of files in Firefox. If the File Access is not installed, the parameters are ignored but the file is downloaded with its default file name, to Firefox default downloads folder. However, by default, Firefox will prompt you to choose between saving or opening a file upon download. IMacros cannot handle this prompt and will only be able to download the file if Firefox default action for this file type is Save File.
